SSN Announcements – What are they?
For Private Registered Yachts Over 300 GRT and over 45 meters LOA, and all Commercial registered yachts despite their length and GT, mandatory SSN announcements per movement must be sent to the authorities: –
· 24 hours pre-arrival notice for all Greek ports and anchorages. · Actual Time of Arrival (ATA) within 30 min of docking (mandatory from 01/08/20). · Actual Time of Departure (ATD) within 30 min of departure (mandatory from 01/08/20). To arrange the SSN announcements on your behalf, we will need updates regarding your movements to inform the authorities accordingly. |
Greek Cruising Tax – TEPAI – What is it?
The Recreational and Daily Tour Cruise Ships Fee (TEPAI) is a yacht cruising tax imposed on all private and professional Yachts in Greek territorial waters. The cost is 8 euros per meter per calendar month for all vessels with a total length of over 7m, regardless of flag. (If for example a yacht is 50 meters and enters in Greece on the 30th of June, then the yacht must pay for June and July, the amount of €400 for June and €400 for July).
Where can Crew Changes happen?
Crew changes cannot be made everywhere in Greece. Only in Athens, Corfu, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Lefkas, Syros, Rhodes, Kos, Kalymnos, Samos, Patmos, and Mykonos. The boat must be at the port or on anchor at the location where the immigration process is happening. For example, the boat cannot be in Paros Island and her crew to embark or disembark in Athens.
In Non-EU crew member disembarkations, the disembarking crew must repatriate, thus an air-ticket to their home country is required. The non-EU crew members to be embarked in Greece, must be arriving from a non-Schengen area. EU crew members can come in Greece to embark, or fly to anywhere they like when they disembark, or even stay in Greece, but they also must pass through the embarkation/disembarkation process at the immigration office
